The East Bay Stonewall Democratic Club was founded in 1982 to give voice to the East Bay LGBTQQI community. The Club was organized and established to:

• Further equality through the political process and community activism
• Bring together lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQQI) individuals and our allies to achieve equality for all and advance progressive values through the Democratic Party
• Raise the the issue of LGBTQQI rights in political campaigns
• Lobby for legislation that advances and upholds the rights of LGBTQQI individuals
